Ethereal Machines Secures ₹272 Crore to Bolster India's Manufacturing Sector
Bengaluru-based deeptech startup Ethereal Machines has announced a significant Series B funding round, raising approximately ₹272 crore ($28.5 million USD). This substantial investment is earmarked for the development of a large-scale manufacturing facility and the advancement of India's indigenous technological capabilities. The funding round was notably led by Avataar Ventures, with continued support from existing investor Peak XV Partners, underscoring confidence in the company's vision and execution.
Mega-Factory and Indigenous CNC Controller at the Core of Expansion
The newly acquired capital will be instrumental in establishing a substantial 3 Lakh square foot factory situated near Bengaluru. This facility is set to become a hub for advanced manufacturing. A key objective of the funding is to facilitate the development of India's first indigenous multi-axis CNC controller. Furthermore, Ethereal Machines will enhance its AI-powered software, Vesper, which plays a crucial role in optimizing precision manufacturing processes.
Global Ambitions and Impact on Semiconductor Ecosystem
Ethereal Machines is not solely focused on domestic growth; the company also has ambitious plans for international expansion. It aims to establish a stronger presence in the United States and European markets, specifically targeting integration within the global semiconductor ecosystem. This strategic move is expected to significantly contribute to India's broader aspirations in the semiconductor sector by enabling the supply of high-precision components essential for chip manufacturing infrastructure.
